HOME. Office1

I am happy to offer you online counselling with all the benefits of one-to-one therapy from the comfort of your home, work or whilst on holiday.

Welcome! The fact you're here means you've taken the first steps towards making positive changes in your life. Whatever issues you find yourself struggling with, there is no need to deal with them on your own, I believe we all have the potential to lead fulfilling, meaningful and happy lives, and that counselling can be the key that helps unlock this potential.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. Everyone needs to talk things through, sometimes it can be easier to talk to someone uninvolved with your personal life. My approach is all about helping you to understand and improve your mental health. The sessions are structured and focused toward understanding why you feel the way you do, how to recognise unhelpful patterns or triggers in everyday life and successful skills to self regulate. You will be equipped, not only to understand why you feel the way you do, but also how to work toward healthier ways of managing your mental health.

Seeking the support of a psychotherapist/counsellor can feel like a big step, and it's perfectly natural to have reservations about this decision. We may feel daunted at the prospect of sharing our thoughts and feelings with another person, or scared about finally saying certain things out loud. Many of us cope by bottling our emotions up. Simply deciding where and how to begin can feel overwhelming.

Whether it is low mood, mood swings, anxiety or something else, being able to share and explore these issues with a professional can be very helpful. Therapy provides a way to understand difficulties and why we struggle sometimes. It can also build a framework for moving forward and reduce distress so that you begin to feel stronger and more able to take back control of your life.

The impact of talking therapies can be profound and result in significant positive change. I offer a non judgmental therapeutic relationship based on empathy, trust and respect, creating conditions that enable you to express and explore the inner thoughts and feelings that you may not be able to share elsewhere for fear of negative response.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. This means I work with clients using a range of therapeutic approaches, depending on their needs and preferences. I am experienced in working with young people, adults and the elderly. My private practice is at my home, where ample parking is available, and which is just a few minutes walk to the town centre of Saffron Walden. I am able to provide both short term and open ended therapy, and offer potential new clients a free of charge consultation. This may be over the phone or via Zoom/Facetime. Initial consultations typically last 20 and 30 minutes, and give you the opportunity to decide whether I might be the right therapist for you. Subsequent sessions are 60 minutes long, and are charged at £45.

HOME. Room 3

For the foreseeable future I am offering confidential One-to-One video sessions from the privacy of my therapy room. Online counselling sessions are an alternative to face-to-face counselling however, you may wonder if it is as effective. These sessions have huge potential because you can access counselling from the comfort of your own home or anywhere in the world. After an initial chat on Zoom, we will set up a convenient time for our sessions. Like face to face counselling Zoom call sessions enable us to see each other on screen and to discuss your reasons for therapy.

Please take the time to look around my website for more information on my services, this will give you a clearer picture as to how I work.

I will soon resume Face to Face sessions in the privacy of my therapy room, situated within 2 minutes walk to Saffron Walden town centre and 20 mins from Bishops Stortford and Cambridge. There is private parking facilities.
