Offering Confidential, Supportive, Safe, Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy in Essex

I am a fully accredited and qualified, Integrative Counsellor and Hypnotherapist, with a private practice in Buckhurst Hill, Essex. I cover the areas of Snaresbrook, South Woodford, Woodford, Loughton, Theydon Bois, Epping and the surrounding villages. All areas which are within easy reach of the safety and privacy of my therapy room.

There are many reasons people come to therapy. You may be having relationship issues, finding life is just too stressful and not being able to cope, or because you've reached a crossroads in your life and want to find answers. You may be seeking counselling because you're experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, illness, bereavement or divorce. For whatever reason, talking to a therapist about your problem can help you understand and clarify the feelings you are experiencing. Therapy allows you to explore your feelings, your experiences, your past, your relationships.

I understand coming to see a therapist and reaching out for therapy is a big step, so looking at my website will, I hope, allow you to find out more about the kind of therapy I offer and how it works.

We are all individuals, unique people, and different areas of therapy suit different people. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past. Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a fast, effective way of dealing with emotional problems, habits and performance issues. It's a modern style of hypnosis for anyone suffering from stress or trauma.

Your problems may be more deep-rooted or recurring? Psychotherapy deals with a range of treatments that can help with mental health problems and emotional changes. Hypnotherapy helps the mind relax, enabling the areas of the subconscious to listen to positive suggestions. The areas of counselling I deal with can help you transform your life, behaviours and patterns of thinking, let go of old habits, overcome phobias, learn new techniques for managing stress and become the best version of yourself.

Therapy can seem daunting sometimes

My aim is to help people make a difference in their lives, to help them achieve a healthier, happier and more balanced life. To help build their self-esteem, help them deal with anxiety and fears. Research has found that the most important factor in therapy is the quality of the relationship between you and the counsellor. You may feel unsure or apprehensive but I will listen to you, without judgement, to gain understanding of what you have to say. A large part of my role is helping you feel at ease.

Is Life getting on top of you?

If you feel life is getting on top of you, counselling allows you to take time-out to focus on 'You'. Offering a safe place, away from the day-to-issues you are experiencing, to assist you to clarify your thoughts and emotions. We all have times when we feel we could benefit from emotional support and although taking that first step to see a counsellor takes courage, it is a really positive step. You may be surrounded by family, friends and colleagues, yet still feel very alone. A counsellor should be someone you trust and feel comfortable with, someone who will listen without judgement and ultimately help you to move forward.

This is why we arrange an initial session. To meet in a relaxed, confidential environment, where together we discuss how our therapeutic relationship can be taken forward and you can establish if you feel comfortable and want to proceed with counselling.

Whatever brings you to therapy, counselling can help you make sense of your emotions and responses, and help you to progress in your life.

So, if you'd like some time and space to explore your feelings - and to find ways to feel more in control and be more creative with your life - email me on or call 07507564642 to arrange a confidential initial appointment.

I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.
