Safe, Supportive, Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist in Buckhurst Hill, Woodford, Loughton & surrounding areas
I am a fully accredited and qualified Integrative Counsellor who runs my private practice in the safety of my therapy room in Buckhurst Hill, Essex. Woodford, Loughton, Theydon Bois, Epping and the surrounding villages are all within easy reach.
There are many reasons people come to therapy. You may be having relationship issues, finding life is just too stressful and not being able to cope, or because you've reached a crossroads in your life and must find answers to some big questions. You may be seeking counselling because you're experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, illness, bereavement or divorce, for whatever reason by talking to a therapist about your problem can help you understand the feelings you are experiencing.
Therapy allows you to explore your feelings, your experiences, your past, your relationships. I understand coming to see a therapist and reaching out for therapy is a big step, so have a look around to my website and find out more about the kind of therapy I offer and how it works.
We are all individuals, unique people, and different areas of therapy suit different people. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past. Cognitive hypnotherapy is a fast, effective way of dealing with emotional problems, habits and performance issues. it's a modern style of hypnosis for anybody suffering from stress or trauma.
Your problems may be more deep-rooted or recurring? Psychotherapy deals with a range of treatments that can help with mental health problems and emotional changes. Hypnotherapy helps the mind relax, enabling the areas of the sub-conscious to listen to positive suggestions. The areas of counselling I deal with can help you transform your life, behaviours and patterns of thinking, let go of old habits, overcome phobias, learn new techniques for managing stress and become the best version of yourself.
Therapy can seem daunting sometimes
My aim is to help people make a difference in their lives, to help them achieve a healthier, happier and more balanced life. To build their self-esteem, free them from anxiety and fears. Research has found that the most important factor in therapy is the quality of the relationship between you and the counsellor. You may feel unsure or apprehensive but I will hear what you have to say, free of judgement, a large part of my role is helping you feel at ease.
You can experience 50 minutes a week away from your life, to reflect on your life, in a relaxed and calm atmosphere. You can discover the power of Hypnotherapy and the rewards it serves.
Is Life getting on top of you?
So, if you feel life is getting on top of you, and you may benefit from a place to take some time-out to explore your thoughts and feelings, perhaps we could set up an initial session. Together we can create a working agreement and will discuss how our therapeutic relationship can be optimised.
Focus on 'You'
There are times when many of us feel we could benefit from emotional support and although asking for that first step to see a counsellor takes tremendous courage, it is a really positive step. Talking to a counsellor can help bring healing and clarity, and give you much needed support during a painful or anxious time in you life. You may be surrounded by family, friends and colleagues, yet still feel very alone, sometimes you do need time to focus on ‘you', what you need, what your aims are, someone to listen just to you and ultimately help you to move forward with your chosen direction.
Whatever brings you to therapy, counselling can help you make sense of your emotions and responses and help you to make changes in your life.
